The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Erhard Bluhm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochen Schubert in the 53rd minute of play. Ronald Baumgartner hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Angelo Munz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jochen Schubert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erhard Bluhm having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
