The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Holger Hetz's late challenge caught a Baumminator's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Holger Hetz helped the player get up and apologised. 9 minutes in the game, Wim Roye dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Rudi Carlos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Wim Roye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerrit Kranz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asrin Barenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eiko Burtscher in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Gilbert Finman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerrit Kranz. Fc Arndissimo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilbert Finman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 28 minutes of play, Baumminator's Wim Roye made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerrit Kranz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Baumminator booed when Fc Arndissimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Scheepers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Roye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Oskar Branke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Asrin Barenz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Wim Roye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Wim Roye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerrit Kranz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joachim Malsch in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Asrin Barenz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Asrin Barenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Malsch in the 48th minute of play.

Wim Roye scored 3-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerrit Kranz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Baumminator getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marco Bansemir hit a great ball. Asrin Barenz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gerhart Hegekötter. In the 60th match minute, Baumminator was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wolf Steckamp to maneuver through the defense. Cosimo Serantoni lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 66th minute, one of Baumminator:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Baumminator. When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Fc Arndissimo's Gerhart Hegekötter got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Asrin Barenz. Asrin Barenz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eiko Burtscher's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After 78 minutes of play Fc Arndissimo's Albert Scheepers was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Georgi Frantzen charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Georgi Frantzen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Wilhelm Bauer fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baumminator's protests and gave Wilhelm Bauer a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Baumminator got a freekick which was hit by Wilhelm Bauer. With a little luck, Baumminator's Asrin Barenz got control of the ball when Joachim Malsch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baumminator's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
