In the 8th match minute, Rübeer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronald Baumgartner to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the game, Tim Dietzsch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valérien Jahnke. Tim Dietzsch showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Greven United's Tim Dietzsch in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rübeer's goalie prevented a goal. Henning Krall hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Rübeer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Aumann to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Greven United's goal looked a bit too open when Jochen Schubert came free, but Mats Gorges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vittorio Spruth fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greven United's protests and gave Vittorio Spruth a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Vittorio Spruth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronald Baumgartner struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Mats Gorges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rübeer. 31 minutes into the match, Sebastian Rissmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mats Gorges. Greven United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Rissmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Thomas Aumann fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rübeer's protests and gave Thomas Aumann a yellow card for diving instead. Thomas Aumann hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Helmut Kuschel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Valérien Jahnke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eggert Hertäg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valérien Jahnke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helmut Kuschel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rübeer's Valérien Jahnke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Dietzsch in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Rübeer booed when Greven United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eggert Hertäg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Ilius got free with Valérien Jahnke in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jochen Schubert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerke Tiede during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rübeer getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gerke Tiede hit a great ball. Tim Dietzsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 minutes, Ruprecht Vordenbäumen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rübeer and the Greven United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Rübeer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruprecht Vordenbäumen to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rübeer's zone, Tim Dietzsch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valérien Jahnke came out of the goal and Tim Dietzsch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Helmut Kuschel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Helmut Kuschel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greven United's supporters rose to their feet, but Helmut Kuschel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valérien Jahnke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valérien Jahnke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Dietzsch in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Greven United got a corner. Rübeer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Helmut Kuschel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Greven United's Helmut Kuschel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Valérien Jahnke in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tim Dietzsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valérien Jahnke having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Eberhard Strohfeldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Roman Croy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greven United's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Croy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valérien Jahnke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the game, Greven United's Tim Dietzsch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valérien Jahnke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 85 played minutes Rübeer got a freekick which was hit by Jochen Schubert. Helmut Kuschel struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Valérien Jahnke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greven United. Eberhard Strohfeldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valérien Jahnke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Helmut Kuschel spun around in front of the goal 90 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Rübeer's goal. If Eberhard Strohfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruprecht Vordenbäumen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mats Gorges. That made the score 3-2 in the 95 minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Greven United had played much better football throughout.
