Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Connor Buch kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Eugen Spanehl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludo Kirste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 9 minutes into the game, when Dieter Luft put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of VfL Tegel:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Viva Colonia:s goal. Eugen Hubner shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a rather tough play, VfL Tegel's Eugen Spanehl got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, FC Viva Colonia's Eugen Hubner broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Otto Klemme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Klemme might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ludo Kirste. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otto Klemme ran back to his position shaking his head. Connor Buch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC Viva Colonia's zone, Otto Klemme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludo Kirste came out of the goal and Otto Klemme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ludo Kirste made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Otto Klemme sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the game, Dieter Wulnikowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Viva Colonia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VfL Tegel the free kick. A collision led to FC Viva Colonia getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Dieter Wulnikowski hit a great ball. Edwin Weißbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugen Spanehl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Otto Klemme made the kick off in the second half. Eberhard Baur made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Joseph Knoll sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in VfL Tegel's zone, Joseph Knoll stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eberhard Baur came out of the goal and Joseph Knoll tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 56 played minutes VfL Tegel got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Spanehl. FC Viva Colonia's Connor Buch was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 57th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Otto Klemme took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ludo Kirste. Ludo Kirste dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Meier in the 71st minute of play forced FC Viva Colonia's goalkeeper Ludo Kirste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, VfL Tegel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Groll to maneuver through the defense. If Connor Buch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Knoll struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Eberhard Baur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Viva Colonia. Carl Meier's late challenge caught a FC Viva Colonia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Meier helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to VfL Tegel getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Carl Meier hit a great ball. Ludo Kirste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Klemme in the 89th minute of play. Otto Klemme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ludo Kirste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Otto Klemme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
