Hansi Gäbelein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gideon Koczy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Esche in the 45th minute of the match. Christian Quinkert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopold Gauderer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Sommersell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lutz Krause was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Eischeid's goal looked a bit too open when Leopold Gauderer came free, but Christian Quinkert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sommersell's zone, Johannes Esche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gideon Koczy came out of the goal and Johannes Esche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sommersell's goalkeeper Gideon Koczy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorg Stube got free with Gideon Koczy in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Sommersell's Sigurd Lenzen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sigurd Lenzen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sommersell protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sigurd Lenzen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sommersell:s Gideon Koczy showed great skill when he stopped Eugen Jucknischke:s penalty. With a little luck, Sommersell's Gideon Koczy got control of the ball when Johannes Esche tried to sneak it across the goal line.
