With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niclas Bokan in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Metz saved Borussia Dortmund from getting behind. Willi Demmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Nitzsche having to interfere. Kevin Metz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute Hansjörg Kreuels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Nitzsche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Werner Nitzsche came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortmund's Willi Demmel. But to his dismay, Willi Demmel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Werner Nitzsche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hansjörg Kreuels in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Jürgen Kuhlmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oberglinde's supporters rose to their feet, but Jürgen Kuhlmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 51 played minutes Oberglinde got a freekick which was hit by Nuri Holzenkamp. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willi Demmel in the 53rd minute of play forced Oberglinde's goalkeeper Werner Nitzsche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hansjörg Kreuels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niclas Bokan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Werner Nitzsche stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hansjörg Kreuels's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 76th minute Jürgen Kuhlmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Metz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81stth minute of the game Willi Demmel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oberglinde's Werner Nitzsche was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oberglinde's Werner Nitzsche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hansjörg Kreuels in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Oberglinde defense, Willi Demmel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Werner Nitzsche. The Oberglinde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Werner Nitzsche should have stopped the shot. Hansjörg Kreuels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willi Demmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Nitzsche having to interfere. Oberglinde's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
