Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hartmut Daum took the kick off in the first half of the match. FC Lewix's Sebald Popp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save FC Lewix from getting a goal against them. 7 minutes into the match, FC Lewix's goal looked a bit too open when Wolf-Dieter Pick came free, but Sebald Popp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Lewix getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Harm Fridrich hit a great ball. Sebald Popp made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Miroslav Angerer sent off a good shot on target. FC Lewix's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Wolf-Dieter Pick scored to the left of an out of position Sebald Popp, making the score, 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Neue Düne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Burke came free, but Franz-Peter Trachsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebald Popp was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Wolf-Dieter Pick capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wolf-Dieter Pick really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Sebald Popp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paul Sausmikat showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 36 minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Miroslav Angerer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebald Popp. Miroslav Angerer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Sebald Popp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bo Kala in the 43rd minute. Sebald Popp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lutz Junginger in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wolf-Dieter Pick to make the kick off. Umberto Burke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz-Peter Trachsel having to interfere. Sebald Popp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslav Angerer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebald Popp came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Neue Düne FC's Miroslav Angerer. But to his dismay, Miroslav Angerer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Neue Düne FC's Lukas Benesch suffered a fractured collar bone after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 62 minutes into the game, Hartmut Daum was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lewix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neue Düne FC the free kick. The supporters of Neue Düne FC booed when FC Lewix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hartmut Daum didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 minutes of play, Neue Düne FC's Lutz Junginger made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebald Popp was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute, Frank Knapp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Miroslav Angerer made a precise shot to the right of Sebald Popp. FC Lewix's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. In the 79th minute Paul Sausmikat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebald Popp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebald Popp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Angerer in the 83rd minute of the match. Sebald Popp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lutz Junginger went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. Sebald Popp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lutz Junginger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miroslav Angerer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Sebald Popp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mathias Berres fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lewix's protests and gave Mathias Berres a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, FC Lewix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Berres to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Neue Düne FC fully deserved thier win.
