An unexpectedly hard shot by Jürgen Benedikt in the 20th minute of play forced Zwirkenberg's goalkeeper Christopher Mulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Friedl Grytz scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils Schikaneder, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Krapphof's Nils Schikaneder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Kotthaus in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Krapphof's zone, Adrian Hertäg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Mulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Benedikt in the 45th minute of the match. When Adrian Hertäg fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zwirkenberg's protests and gave Adrian Hertäg a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Zwirkenberg got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Hertäg. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Große stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jürgen Benedikt kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match.
