In the 17th minute, Hugo Große reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sebald Popp. The goal made the score 3-0. Sebald Popp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Große, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hartmut Daum in the 23rd minute of play forced Phönix Kickers's goalkeeper Nils Schikaneder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Phönix Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Hartmut Daum came free, but Nils Schikaneder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, FC Lewix's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Große came free, but Sebald Popp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Hugo Große kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebald Popp. That made the score 5-0 in the 32 minute of play. With a little luck, FC Lewix's Sebald Popp got control of the ball when Werner Slesinski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebald Popp made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jürgen Benedikt sent off a good shot on target. Thomas Bahlau received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebald Popp came out and tried to block the shot, but Thomas Bahlau slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 42nd minute. After 45 minutes, Frederik Talke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Phönix Kickers and the FC Lewix players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Phönix Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Frederik Talke. With a little luck, FC Lewix's Sebald Popp got control of the ball when Jürgen Benedikt tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hartmut Daum was the one to do the kick off. Nils Schikaneder came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lewix's Umberto Burke. But to his dismay, Umberto Burke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. 56 minutes into the match, Hugo Große notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of FC Lewix's Sebald Popp. Sebald Popp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 59 minutes into the match, Jorck Binder notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of FC Lewix's Sebald Popp. Sebald Popp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Phönix Kickers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Schikaneder should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute Jürgen Benedikt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebald Popp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Hugo Große ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebald Popp was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-2. Nils Schikaneder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Umberto Burke in the 88th minute. Sebald Popp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomas Bahlau went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 12-2 was the resulting score. In the 93rd minute, Thomas Bahlau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebald Popp was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-2. There was no doubt that Phönix Kickers were the better team. Phönix Kickers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
