Dietrich Klein hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, FC Lewix's goalkeeper Stefan Nülle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eckart Rattinger. In the 10th minute Moses Neudorf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenz Faber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Nülle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rainer Gottschling in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lewix's goalkeeper Stefan Nülle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Moses Neudorf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lorenz Faber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Nülle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rainer Gottschling in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Peter Siebe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Nülle was a little too slow when Eckart Rattinger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Moses Neudorf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dietrich Klein kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Moses Neudorf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Lorenz Faber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob Dörfler kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. When Moses Neudorf came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the FC Lewix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moses Neudorf couldn't finish the play. Shawn Hambrecht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the game, FC Lewix's Eike Hain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorenz Faber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eike Hain to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Lewix's Eike Hain got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th match minute, FC Lewix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Arendt to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Rainer Gottschling had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stefan Nülle. FC Lewix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rainer Gottschling was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Eike Hain received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lorenz Faber came out and tried to block the shot, but Eike Hain slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 65th minute. Stefan Nülle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainer Gottschling, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Shawn Hambrecht managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lewix's supporters rose to their feet, but Shawn Hambrecht was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenz Faber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fortuna D FC's Lorenz Faber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eike Hain in the 74th minute of play. Eckart Rattinger struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Stefan Nülle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortuna D FC. After 83 minutes, Ambrosius Stahlschmidt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Lewix and the Fortuna D FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rainer Gottschling took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stefan Nülle. FC Lewix's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fortuna D FC's zone, Moses Neudorf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenz Faber came out of the goal and Moses Neudorf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Eike Hain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Shawn Hambrecht got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Lewix were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
