The Reipertshofen FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Reipertshofen FC's Siegfried Rehmer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Lorenz Faber successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lorenz Faber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artemio Endura in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Rainer Gottschling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Teupel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortuna D FC's Lorenz Faber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siegfried Rehmer in the 35th minute of play. Lorenz Faber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siegfried Rehmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Jakob Jahn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lorenz Faber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Fortuna D FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reik Scholze came free, but Lorenz Faber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jakob Jahn struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Lorenz Faber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reipertshofen FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Jakob Jahn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lorenz Faber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reik Scholze in the 97th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Reipertshofen FC fully deserved thier win.
