The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Brezis:s goal. In the 8th minute of the match, Markus Paul Janssen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Helko Meisl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Brezis booed when SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermann Nierlein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lutz Gädechens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helko Meisl having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Helko Meisl successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lutz Gädechens who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Helko Meisl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 21 played minutes SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken got a freekick which was hit by Björn Kahn. Marc Engelsmann charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc Engelsmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Marc Engelsmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Helko Meisl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Paul Janssen, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markus Paul Janssen in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Helko Meisl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Helko Meisl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lutz Gädechens in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute, Lutz Gädechens made a precise shot to the right of Helko Meisl. SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 48th minute, Lutz Gädechens reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Helko Meisl. The goal made the score 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Claus Hänsch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brezis's Markus Paul Janssen got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lutz Gädechens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's Helko Meisl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Gädechens in the 75th minute of play. Frederico Thorbrügge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermann Nierlein in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Paul Janssen in the 78th minute of play forced SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's goalkeeper Helko Meisl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermann Nierlein received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frederico Thorbrügge came out and tried to block the shot, but Hermann Nierlein slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 79th minute. In the 85th minute Lutz Gädechens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helko Meisl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Brezis's Frederico Thorbrügge got control of the ball when Hermann Nierlein tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute, Richard Küpperbusch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederico Thorbrügge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermann Nierlein in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Brezis players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
