The OsTeuSCornoS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Morgan Stiegler should have stopped the shot. Vittorio Grützmacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brad Wegmann in the 26th minute of the match. When Flachsberg's Honorio Loramendi in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye OsTeuSCornoS's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Honorio Loramendi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Morgan Stiegler was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Morgan Stiegler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Wegener, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Honorio Loramendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mel Olbrich hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Loramendi was the one to do the kick off. Eberhard Eisele struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Vittorio Grützmacher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OsTeuSCornoS. Stefan Diggs walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Morgan Stiegler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fynn Baumgärtner in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Stefan Diggs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flachsberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Diggs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Morgan Stiegler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Honorio Loramendi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Morgan Stiegler. That made the score 0-3 in the 63 minute of play. In the 66th minute, Nathan Throm fired a really elegant long shot, but Morgan Stiegler threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 68 minutes into the match, Flachsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Brad Wegmann came free, but Vittorio Grützmacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, OsTeuSCornoS's Eberhard Eisele made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Loramendi couldn't finish the play.
