In the 19th minute of the game, Philipp Bohmann landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 19 minutes into the game, Eugen Schwarze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Midgard's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rehfelde FSV the free kick. In the 20th match minute, FC Midgard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Schwarze to maneuver through the defense. Hendrik Jung kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Monty Michalk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horst Birnstiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 played minutes FC Midgard got a freekick which was hit by Leif-Eric Mehlbaum. Eugen Schwarze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wenzel Lukner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Schwarze in the 28th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Eugen Schwarze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wenzel Lukner. Rehfelde FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugen Schwarze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Horst Birnstiel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lew Schäfer went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Rehfelde FSV's zone, Claus Holsing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wenzel Lukner came out of the goal and Claus Holsing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugen Schwarze was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugen Schwarze got free with Wenzel Lukner in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, FC Midgard's goal looked a bit too open when Winfried Kitzberger came free, but Horst Birnstiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lew Schäfer in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horst Birnstiel saved FC Midgard from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lew Schäfer in the 59th minute of play forced FC Midgard's goalkeeper Horst Birnstiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernot Hartenbach kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, FC Midgard's Todor Vaskov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wenzel Lukner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Rehfelde FSV getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Monty Michalk hit a great ball. Harald Potulski struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Wenzel Lukner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Midgard. Claus Holsing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Wenzel Lukner made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Todor Vaskov fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Leif-Eric Mehlbaum managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Midgard's supporters rose to their feet, but Leif-Eric Mehlbaum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wenzel Lukner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horst Birnstiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lew Schäfer in the 85th minute of play. FC Midgard's Horst Birnstiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lew Schäfer in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Rehfelde FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monty Michalk to maneuver through the defense. Jochen van Stiphout hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
