Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Horst Kloss kicked off to start the match. Horst Kloss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pitt Gotthard kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Heider FC made a substitution. Wolf Erkiner replaced Christof Drebes. The supporters of RB Gladbach 93 booed when Heider FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pitt Gotthard didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Herwig Rosenbauer fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heider FC's protests and gave Herwig Rosenbauer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Heider FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herwig Rosenbauer to maneuver through the defense. Wolfram Ostendorff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horst Kloss, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Horst Kloss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Reuß kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Mats Harms made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Hamit Aretz immediately put the ball in play. After a defensive mix-up in Heider FC's zone, Zaman Schwarz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burkhard Wolf came out of the goal and Zaman Schwarz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Wrede during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Horst Kloss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolfram Ostendorff having to interfere. Wolfram Ostendorff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horst Kloss in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in RB Gladbach 93's zone, Wolf Erkiner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wolfram Ostendorff came out of the goal and Wolf Erkiner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heider FC's Burkhard Wolf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walther Reckmaier in the 39th minute of play. When Wolf Erkiner came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Heider FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wolf Erkiner couldn't finish the play. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walther Reckmaier to make the kick off. If Walther Reckmaier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Burkhard Wolf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walther Reckmaier in the 52nd minute of play. Walther Reckmaier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Bert Meibeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horst Kloss struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Wolfram Ostendorff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heider FC. In the 64th match minute, RB Gladbach 93 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Betz to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Horst Kloss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfram Ostendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horst Kloss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RB Gladbach 93's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Horst Kloss scored to the left of an out of position Wolfram Ostendorff, making the score, 0-1. When Wolf Erkiner came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Heider FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wolf Erkiner couldn't finish the play. Heider FC's Horst Kloss got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 minutes, Hugo Schavan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RB Gladbach 93 and the Heider FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match was over Heider FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RB Gladbach 93 throughout the match.
