The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marc Engelsmann kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lew Schäfer in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Helko Meisl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lew Schäfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Helko Meisl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rehfelde FSV booed when SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Engelsmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helko Meisl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Winfried Kitzberger in the 8th minute of the match. A collision led to SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Claus Hänsch hit a great ball. Emanuel Wallenhorst made in the 13th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Monty Michalk however managed to control. In the 18th minute, Cosmo Starke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 minutes, Winfried Kitzberger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rehfelde FSV and the SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's zone, Winfried Kitzberger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helko Meisl came out of the goal and Winfried Kitzberger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Winfried Kitzberger who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Rehfelde FSV's Gernot Hartenbach to a score. 0-1 in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Marc Engelsmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 minutes of play, Rehfelde FSV's Winfried Kitzberger made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Helko Meisl was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Philipp Knop made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Gerd Löhnert managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerd Löhnert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wenzel Lukner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Rehfelde FSV booed when SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clint Dujic didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66th play minutes Lew Schäfer shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Helko Meisl and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 74th minute Monty Michalk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helko Meisl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Cosmo Starke scored to the left of an out of position Helko Meisl, making the score, 0-5. 81 minutes into the match, SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's goal looked a bit too open when Winfried Kitzberger came free, but Helko Meisl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helko Meisl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winfried Kitzberger in the 85th minute of play. SV Neustadt-Pelzerhaken's Helko Meisl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Winfried Kitzberger in the 86th minute of play. Helko Meisl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Michalk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lew Schäfer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Helko Meisl made a huge save. Clint Dujic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rehfelde FSV's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
