Richard Bernau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Vittorio Grützmacher made a huge save. Kurt Pater charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurt Pater the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Flachsberg booed when Luneplate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Pater didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Fynn Baumgärtner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Danko Keil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the game, Flachsberg's Stefan Diggs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Bernau was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorio Loramendi in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danko Keil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Flachsberg were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Loramendi was the one to do the kick off. Honorio Loramendi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Danko Keil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flachsberg. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fynn Baumgärtner got free with Danko Keil in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the game, Richard Bernau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. In the 79th minute, Honorio Loramendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stefan Diggs scored 2-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danko Keil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stefan Diggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danko Keil having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Josip Dreyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luneplate and the Flachsberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Luneplate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josip Dreyer to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Loramendi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Danko Keil when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Flachsberg played a much better game than Luneplate and deserved their victory. The Luneplate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
