The tension between the Nerreth FC and the Blau Weiß Sauerland players grew even worse after the yellow card. Blau Weiß Sauerland's Berthold Köhler was substituted for Paulo Renato Meirelles. Sid Schätzle made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Adam Pingel sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorel Giubelean during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Blau Weiß Sauerland's zone, Aron Heber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Kuhni came out of the goal and Aron Heber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Blau Weiß Sauerland's Sid Schätzle threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Uwe Nemitz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 28th minute, Uwe Nemitz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sid Schätzle, passed just outside the right post. Sid Schätzle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Bongartz, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Adam Pingel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Sid Schätzle made a huge save. Nerreth FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uwe Nemitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Sid Schätzle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Nemitz in the 69th minute of the match. Nerreth FC's Monty Bohn got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nerreth FC's Rolf Holthausen was substituted for Arno Vogl. In the 75th minute, Alessio Bongartz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blau Weiß Sauerland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Sid Schätzle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Bongartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nerreth FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blau Weiß Sauerland the free kick.
