In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gene Centaurs Munich's goalkeeper Thomas Trenker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of THB Herrenalb booed when Gene Centaurs Munich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaus Schwinn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Hartmut Hester left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gene Centaurs Munich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Willi Wolters came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Gene Centaurs Munich's Hartmut Hester. But to his dismay, Hartmut Hester quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rudolf Anhalter kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When Ignatius Tilmann came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the THB Herrenalb fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignatius Tilmann couldn't finish the play. Willi Wolters made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Andreas Ahlstedt sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute Hartmut Hester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willi Wolters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Hartmut Hester made a precise shot to the right of Willi Wolters. THB Herrenalb's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. THB Herrenalb's Willi Wolters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hartmut Hester in the 37th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Hartmut Hester notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of THB Herrenalb's Willi Wolters. Willi Wolters was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Gene Centaurs Munich getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Rudolf Anhalter hit a great ball. Ludwig Müntefering kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Hartmut Hester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gene Centaurs Munich's supporters rose to their feet, but Hartmut Hester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willi Wolters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

THB Herrenalb made a substitution. Walter Stube replaced Sandro Högger. THB Herrenalb's Lutz Holtzmann was substituted for Moritz Riemer. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Ahlstedt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind THB Herrenalb's goalkeeper Willi Wolters, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Willi Wolters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hartmut Hester, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the match, THB Herrenalb's goal looked a bit too open when Hartmut Hester came free, but Willi Wolters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Curt Nickel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Trenker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Ludwig Müntefering got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomas Trenker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curt Nickel, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The audience was convinced that Hartmut Hester's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willi Wolters was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, THB Herrenalb's Feodor Hecht got a free kick in the 75th minute. THB Herrenalb's Arne Stern was substituted for Ignatius Tilmann. Feodor Hecht hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Gene Centaurs Munich's goalkeeper Thomas Trenker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lutz Holtzmann. Willi Wolters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hartmut Hester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
