Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erik Niva started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Erik Niva put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wladimir Sahin. Tsuneo Balland charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tsuneo Balland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tsuneo Balland hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 1. SG Union Frankfurt's Wladimir Sahin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Niva in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Gencalp Kani made a precise shot to the right of Wladimir Sahin. 1. SG Union Frankfurt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Wladimir Sahin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Udo Renger in the 20th minute of the match. Wladimir Sahin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ansgar Kleim in the 21st minute of play. Wladimir Sahin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SV PM Cottbus's Gencalp Kani shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. The audience was convinced that Erik Niva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wladimir Sahin was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Wladimir Sahin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Niva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wladimir Sahin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Niva went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Wladimir Sahin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Niva, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of 1. SG Union Frankfurt booed when SV PM Cottbus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Günter Krüger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wladimir Sahin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Niva in the 45th minute of the match. SV PM Cottbus's Federico Ecke suffered a sore thigh after 45 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Bengt Brecher's late challenge caught a SV PM Cottbus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt Brecher helped the player get up and apologised. SV PM Cottbus's Predrag Ohse was substituted for Federico Ecke. Bengt Brecher kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.
The wind increased when Rudolf Rutkowski made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Erik Niva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wladimir Sahin. Erik Niva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Wladimir Sahin was a little too slow when Erik Niva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-8. In the 61st minute Erik Niva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wladimir Sahin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Rudolf Rutkowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1. SG Union Frankfurt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV PM Cottbus the free kick. If Gencalp Kani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Erik Niva put it in 0-10 from a short distance just to the right of Wladimir Sahin. After 81st play minutes Gencalp Kani shot 0-11, a short shot which went by Wladimir Sahin and just under the crossbar into goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Niva in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wladimir Sahin saved 1. SG Union Frankfurt from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Niva in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wladimir Sahin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to 1. SG Union Frankfurt getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Tsuneo Balland hit a great ball. Erik Niva scored 0-12 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wladimir Sahin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 91 minutes into the game, Gencalp Kani recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wladimir Sahin.
