Jafar Glaubach charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jafar Glaubach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 5th minute, when Wayyss FSV's Tjark Reichelt after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Issa Casillas in FC Selb's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Ulf Riessle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Wayyss FSV's zone, Harald Brachvogel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Überschär came out of the goal and Harald Brachvogel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Issa Casillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bosse Grajewski in the 20th minute of the match. Issa Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efraim Behloch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bosse Grajewski in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Selb's goalkeeper Issa Casillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Hauke got free with Issa Casillas in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24thth minute of the game Efraim Behloch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Selb's Issa Casillas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Issa Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bosse Grajewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Maiko Nooke's late challenge caught a FC Selb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maiko Nooke helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Wayyss FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Selb:s goal. The referee gave FC Selb a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Harald Brachvogel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wayyss FSV's Domenico Überschär. 0-1. Jafar Glaubach lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Selb! The score was 1-1 after a penalty in the 47th minute, where Wayyss FSV:s Tjark Reichelt tricked FC Selb:s Issa Casillas with a difficult ball by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bosse Grajewski to make the kick off. Issa Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bosse Grajewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Marcus Mandel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Selb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Mandel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Selb booed when Wayyss FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolai Müller didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, FC Selb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olivér Kán to maneuver through the defense. FC Selb's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wayyss FSV the free kick. In the 74th minute of the match Tjark Reichelt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Issa Casillas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bosse Grajewski kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Selb getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Claudius Numberger hit a great ball. Issa Casillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efraim Behloch in the 81st minute of the match.
