Maximilian Stübner hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Kornel Röbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philipp Schmidhuber in the 6th minute of play. With a little luck, BESA Dortmund's Kornel Röbe got control of the ball when Pit Mögle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pit Mögle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Kornel Röbe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. BESA Dortmund's Kornel Röbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philipp Schmidhuber in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Helge Piechocki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Rogelio Rocio made a precise shot to the right of Udo Möllenstädt. Schalke 04's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 29th play minutes Philipp Schmidhuber shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Kornel Röbe and just under the crossbar into goal. A hard shot 31 in the game by Pit Mögle from a close distance when the talented Kornel Röbe managed to make a qualified save. BESA Dortmund's players were relieved. Tomasz Iwaszko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Udo Möllenstädt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kornel Röbe was a little too slow when Philipp Schmidhuber got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 46th minute of the match David Keute shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kornel Röbe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Philipp Schmidhuber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Pit Mögle sped through BESA Dortmund's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kornel Röbe. Maximilian Stübner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kornel Röbe having to interfere. Kornel Röbe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philipp Schmidhuber in the 68th minute of play. Tomasz Iwaszko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Udo Möllenstädt having to interfere. BESA Dortmund's Kornel Röbe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philipp Schmidhuber in the 73rd minute of play. When Schalke 04's Philipp Schmidhuber in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BESA Dortmund's goalie prevented a goal. After 86 played minutes Schalke 04 got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Brozulat. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Schalke 04 fully deserved thier win.
