Franks Boys's Markus Heinsch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomasz Iwaszko in the 34th minute of play. Rogelio Rocio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Markus Heinsch made a huge save. In the 37th minute BESA Dortmund were awarded a corner. Rogelio Rocio went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, BESA Dortmund's Caspar Slesar got a free kick in the 37th minute. When Raoul Spegele fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Franks Boys's protests and gave Raoul Spegele a yellow card for diving instead. Raoul Spegele hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Rogelio Rocio could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Markus Heinsch however easily saved by the left post. Tomasz Iwaszko struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Markus Heinsch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BESA Dortmund.

BESA Dortmund were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Franks Boys's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rogelio Rocio took the corner. BESA Dortmund's Marko Rosenbaum got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, BESA Dortmund's Zaid Cangiray got a free kick in the 79th minute. Götz Lechner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kornel Röbe having to interfere. Kornel Röbe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xavier Ballhaus in the 89th minute. Xavier Ballhaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Kornel Röbe made a huge save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. BESA Dortmund fully deserved thier win.
