Altenmittlau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximilian Stübner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Ulrich Fiedeler fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altenmittlau's protests and gave Ulrich Fiedeler a yellow card for diving instead. Pit Mögle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Maximilian Stübner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alex Cauli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Altenmittlau's Alex Cauli got control of the ball when Pit Mögle tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Altenmittlau's goalkeeper Alex Cauli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximilian Stübner. Alex Cauli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximilian Stübner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Schalke 04 defense, Homer Behnert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Udo Möllenstädt. The Schalke 04 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Udo Möllenstädt should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Homer Behnert to strike the kick off in the second half. Altenmittlau's Alex Cauli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pit Mögle in the 56th minute of play. Alex Cauli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximilian Stübner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Altenmittlau getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Bilge Kağan Savlet hit a great ball. Schalke 04's Philipp Schmidhuber got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Cauli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pit Mögle's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralf Schlesinger during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Altenmittlau's Ralf Schlesinger got a free kick in the 79th minute. Pit Mögle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Cauli having to interfere. Ulrich Fiedeler hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Alex Cauli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philipp Schmidhuber, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 91st match minute, Altenmittlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bilge Kağan Savlet to maneuver through the defense.
