Laurențiu Burghelea charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Falkenhide F.C fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Falkenhide F.C's Ireno Sturmheit looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Falkenhide F.C's Olívio de Moraes got a free kick in the 40th minute. With a little luck, Falkenhide F.C's Mattia Perin got control of the ball when Wolf-Rüdiger Trener tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Algitas Kaščiukaitis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Markus Möller's late challenge caught a Falkenhide F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Döbelner SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Falkenhide F.C the free kick. With a little luck, Döbelner SC's Karel Hinz got control of the ball when Ireno Sturmheit tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ireno Sturmheit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Falkenhide F.C were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
