The audience was convinced that Slavoj Ukrainets's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guido Schamberg was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Borussia Dortmund's Jürgen Schlesiger got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guido Schamberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slavoj Ukrainets in the 19th minute of play. Guido Schamberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Slavoj Ukrainets's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Hubert Päßler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pieter Schubert went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Borussia Dortmund's Hubert Päßler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Knopf in the 29th minute of play. Patrick Knopf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Eike Kottsieper hit a great ball. When Patrick Knopf came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC Hinterfindmichnicht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Knopf couldn't finish the play. When FC Hinterfindmichnicht's Patrick Knopf in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pieter Schubert to strike the kick off in the second half. Slavoj Ukrainets scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guido Schamberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Patrick Knopf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Knopfs short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Hubert Päßler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 62 minutes into the game, Eike Kottsieper was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Hinterfindmichnicht the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Nick Maul managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hinterfindmichnicht's supporters rose to their feet, but Nick Maul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hubert Päßler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Knopf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Hubert Päßler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70th play minutes Pieter Schubert shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Hubert Päßler and just under the crossbar into goal. Pieter Schubert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eike Kottsieper was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Eike Kottsieper got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Pieter Schubert managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hinterfindmichnicht's supporters rose to their feet, but Pieter Schubert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hubert Päßler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pío Daneri in the 89th minute of play forced FC Hinterfindmichnicht's goalkeeper Guido Schamberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Pío Daneri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guido Schamberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Patrick Knopf who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Hubert Päßler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Borussia Dortmund's Hubert Päßler got control of the ball when Patrick Knopf tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded FC Hinterfindmichnicht left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Borussia Dortmund.
