Marc Hooiveld took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abdul Behnisch. CEMEL EFSANESPOR's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Eugeniusz Tyski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hamburg City Vampires's Eugeniusz Tyski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lajos Détári in the 25th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Hamburg City Vampires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tipper Mulvihill to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Fred Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdul Behnisch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 50 played minutes Hamburg City Vampires got a freekick which was hit by Bianco Lemme. Eugeniusz Tyski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerico Cantera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benny White might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abdul Behnisch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benny White ran back to his position shaking his head. Eugeniusz Tyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Ixona in the 66th minute of the match. Marc Hooiveld hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lajos Détári in the 73rd minute of play forced Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CEMEL EFSANESPOR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hamburg City Vampires had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
