Nico Fassbender was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Naohiro Karwath fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Odeweg FSV's protests and gave Naohiro Karwath a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe booed when Odeweg FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naohiro Karwath didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Odeweg FSV's zone, Márcio Vilanova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Fassbender came out of the goal and Márcio Vilanova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Takeshi Schreiber's late challenge caught a OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Takeshi Schreiber helped the player get up and apologised. Nurija Vukić struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Nico Fassbender didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Odeweg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Klingemann to maneuver through the defense. The Odeweg FSV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Márcio Vilanova made the kick off in the second half. Nico Fassbender made an important save on a dangerous shot by Márcio Vilanova in the 52nd minute. Nico Fassbender stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Márcio Vilanova's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. OKS Kasta Szczecin-Majowe played a much better game than Odeweg FSV and deserved their victory. The Odeweg FSV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
