After a defensive mix-up in Welkershausen FSV's zone, Diamantino Brilhante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leander Schachow came out of the goal and Diamantino Brilhante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leander Schachow was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diamantino Brilhante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 19th minute Diamantino Brilhante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leander Schachow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leander Schachow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diamantino Brilhante in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Welkershausen FSV's goalkeeper Leander Schachow had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uno Sefastsson. FC Polonia Nürnberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Diamantino Brilhante might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leander Schachow. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leander Schachow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Brilhante, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Piet Notz got free with Thibaut Courtois in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Welkershausen FSV's Baldur Degen got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Baldur Degen off the ground. Diamantino Brilhante succeeded in the game's 86th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. Ilja Keute sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Diamantino Brilhante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leander Schachow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ilja Keute managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1. FC Polonia Nürnberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilja Keute was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leander Schachow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leander Schachow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Brilhante in the 94th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Wolfgang Schui heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. FC Polonia Nürnberg players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
