The supporters of Poggenkrug booed when hoherkrauz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brix Waddey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Sören Grempels reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ansgar von Berg. The goal made the score 2-0. Ansgar von Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Grempels in the 16th minute of play. Albert Surkemper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ansgar von Berg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Johannes Van Cleijnenbreugel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Furchner in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes, Alfons Weihs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the hoherkrauz and the Poggenkrug players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Alfons Weihs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Albert Surkemper in the 27th minute really tested Ansgar von Berg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 29th minute, Poggenkrug's Sören Grempels ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ansgar von Berg. Ansgar von Berg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horst Voigt in the 42nd minute of play forced hoherkrauz's goalkeeper Ansgar von Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johannes Van Cleijnenbreugel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Furchner in the 45th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ralf Furchner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johannes Van Cleijnenbreugel was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Ansgar von Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Winkels in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Sören Grempels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ansgar von Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sixten Max fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored hoherkrauz's protests and gave Sixten Max a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to hoherkrauz getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Sixten Max hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Heinrich Belzner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poggenkrug's supporters rose to their feet, but Heinrich Belzner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ansgar von Berg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Poggenkrug getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Sören Grempels hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, hoherkrauz's goal looked a bit too open when Horst Voigt came free, but Ansgar von Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Willi Bach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ansgar von Berg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sören Grempels went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After 92 minutes of play, Poggenkrug's Horst Voigt made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ansgar von Berg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Poggenkrug were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of hoherkrauz for a fine match.
