Bart Gringel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Peres in the 13th minute. Manuel Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bart Gringel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bart Gringel made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Manuel Peres sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FK Partizani Tirana getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eicke Brocker hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, FK Partizani Tirana's goalkeeper Bart Gringel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erwin Backes. When Erwin Backes came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the De Gulden Draak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erwin Backes couldn't finish the play. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eicke Brocker in the 37th minute of play. FK Partizani Tirana's Bart Gringel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FK Partizani Tirana from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the game, De Gulden Draak's Evert Heremans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bart Gringel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 46 minutes into the game, Valérien Hesse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Partizani Tirana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Gulden Draak the free kick. Valérien Hesse hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eicke Brocker to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Eicke Brocker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bart Gringel having to interfere. Bart Gringel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Heremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudius Marsching recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Claudius Marsching got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Claudius Marsching notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of FK Partizani Tirana's Bart Gringel. Bart Gringel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erich Peuckert did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Siim Kikas 61 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Manuel Peres notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of FK Partizani Tirana's Bart Gringel. Bart Gringel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bart Gringel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudius Marsching in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Tommy Clason was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Partizani Tirana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Gulden Draak the free kick. After 87 minutes, Manuel Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Gulden Draak and the FK Partizani Tirana players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FK Partizani Tirana booed when De Gulden Draak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FK Partizani Tirana getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Godwin Klöckner hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Manuel Peres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Gulden Draak fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. De Gulden Draak fully deserved thier win.
