After 22 minutes FK Partizani Tirana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Christopher Da Costa who took care of the corner kick. The SG Wirringen fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when SG Wirringen's Frieder Köffers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bart Gringel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mao Yue Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Erich Peuckert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Einar Joa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Erich Peuckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bart Gringel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frieder Köffers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bart Gringel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frieder Köffers, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute Frieder Köffers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart Gringel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SG Wirringen getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Henrico Bermanseder hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frieder Köffers made a kick off. The supporters of SG Wirringen booed when FK Partizani Tirana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ephraim Steffen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frieder Köffers struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Bart Gringel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SG Wirringen. In the 57th minute Eicke Brocker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Joa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bart Gringel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frieder Köffers in the 60th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SG Wirringen's Stephan Stößer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bart Gringel. That made the score 1-3 after 65 minutes of play. Einar Joa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eicke Brocker, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frieder Köffers in the 71st minute of play forced FK Partizani Tirana's goalkeeper Bart Gringel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bart Gringel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stephan Stößer in the 75th minute.
