Ivica Hunds breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivica Hunds showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onwuemelie Onwuachi, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Fernan Senin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivica Hunds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC Rostock's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Hilmar Bäcker scored to the left of an out of position Per Klesper, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Abancens in the 16th minute of play forced Türkgücü Hanau's goalkeeper Ivica Hunds to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes Türkgücü Hanau's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gilberto Abancens who took care of the corner kick. Per Klesper was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adrian Radtke showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. In the 39th minute, Taisto Leppänen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Türkgücü Hanau's Ivica Hunds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gideon Heilemann in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ron Ohse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Taisto Leppänen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Ivica Hunds 55 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, AC Rostock's goal looked a bit too open when Otfried Rendelmann came free, but Per Klesper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otfried Rendelmann charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otfried Rendelmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Türkgücü Hanau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otfried Rendelmann to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Türkgücü Hanau's goalkeeper Ivica Hunds, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Ivica Hunds as he didn't even see the shot coming. Christian Bothenhain took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per Klesper. AC Rostock's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Türkgücü Hanau's Ivica Hunds got control of the ball when Fernan Senin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivica Hunds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Obbo Ngnoubamdjum in the 81st minute of the match. Marc Thalberg hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Türkgücü Hanau's Serge Heisters got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Türkgücü Hanau's goalkeeper Ivica Hunds had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Obbo Ngnoubamdjum. Ivica Hunds made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Obbo Ngnoubamdjum in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Ingo Weippert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivica Hunds showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Abancens, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
