With a couple of smart ball manuevers Taisto Leppänen in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennard Finkenrath saved Hertha 1969 from getting behind. In the 13th minute of the match AC Rostock got a corner. Hertha 1969's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. AC Rostock's Gilberto Abancens was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lennard Finkenrath in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 71stth minute of the game Christopher Radtke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hertha 1969's Lennard Finkenrath was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. AC Rostock's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gilberto Abancens in the 73rd minute.
