Ivica Hunds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Van Herendael in the 14th minute of the match. Türkgücü Hanau's Ivica Hunds proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Türkgücü Hanau from getting a goal against them. Adrian Radtke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kai Brüggemann hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Adrian Radtke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennard Finkenrath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Hertha 1969 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lennard Finkenrath should have stopped the shot.
