Seating: 2490, VIP seats: 216) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emanuel Ogășanu started the match with the kick off. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christo Bothenhain in the 2nd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christo Bothenhain came free, but Sebastian Titz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iwo Sawicki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Titz having to make a save. Sebastian Titz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Sawicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Sawicki in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Önder Cebi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Witlatschil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Iwo Sawicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastian Titz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Sawicki in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Cebi in the 15th minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Josef Witlatschil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Sawicki in the 18th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Önder Cebi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Josef Witlatschil to make any attempt to save it. If Iwo Sawicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Milanese got free with Josef Witlatschil in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Tiger from getting a goal against them. Iwo Sawicki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Titz having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Iwo Sawicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiger's supporters rose to their feet, but Iwo Sawicki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Titz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iwo Sawicki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Titz having to make a save. Sebastian Titz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Sawicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christo Bothenhain came free, but Sebastian Titz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iwo Sawicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Tiger made a substitution. Pentti Ojala replaced Gilbert Majkowski. Josef Witlatschil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Önder Cebi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute Sydney FC were awarded a corner. Ferdinand Mendy went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Sydney FC's Ferdinand Mendy to fire away a dangerous shot which Josef Witlatschil despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Milanese in the 55th minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Josef Witlatschil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Sydney FC got a corner. Tiger's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ferdinand Mendy ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Sydney FC's Ferdinand Mendy to fire away a dangerous shot which Josef Witlatschil despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Armando Abeita kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christo Bothenhain came free, but Sebastian Titz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz got control of the ball when Iwo Sawicki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angelo Milanese scored 2-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josef Witlatschil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Ogășanu in the 73rd minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Josef Witlatschil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Witlatschil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Önder Cebi, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute Tiger were awarded a corner. Christo Bothenhain went to the cornerflag to take it. Tiger's Pentti Ojala was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebastian Titz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Tiger fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Tiger's Pentti Ojala looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Josef Witlatschil came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Sydney FC's Emanuel Ogășanu. But to his dismay, Emanuel Ogășanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pentti Ojala in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Titz saved Sydney FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iwo Sawicki got free with Sebastian Titz in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 92 minutes into the game, Pentti Ojala lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Sebastian Titz. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christo Bothenhain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josef Witlatschil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Ogășanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When Adam Daller fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sydney FC's protests and gave Adam Daller a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Adam Daller got a free kick in the 97th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tiger players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sydney FC.
