Spectators: 10849 (Terracing: 8138, Seating: 2495, VIP seats: 216) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pentti Ojala kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Themis Papadimoulis got free with Josef Witlatschil in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute Christo Bothenhain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Brătescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josef Witlatschil made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Boubacar Otabo sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Josef Witlatschil successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Sawicki in the 24th minute of play forced VfL Bad Nenndorf's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Brătescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Brătescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Sawicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Gaizka Mendieta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucrețiu Brătescu. VfL Bad Nenndorf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaizka Mendieta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 28th minute Pentti Ojala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Brătescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes of play, Tiger's Christo Bothenhain made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucrețiu Brătescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, VfL Bad Nenndorf's goal looked a bit too open when Pentti Ojala came free, but Lucrețiu Brătescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41stth minute of the game Pentti Ojala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VfL Bad Nenndorf's Lucrețiu Brătescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lucrețiu Brătescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pentti Ojala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudolf Speed kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tiger's Ingo Ustorf was substituted for Rudolf Speed. The wind increased when Themis Papadimoulis made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Themis Papadimoulis made a precise shot to the right of Josef Witlatschil. Tiger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Josef Witlatschil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boubacar Otabo in the 57th minute of the match. Josef Witlatschil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boubacar Otabo in the 59th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Themis Papadimoulis made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiger's Marten Weise was substituted for Pentti Ojala. In the 79th minute Tiger were awarded a corner. Walter Baß went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Marten Weise almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VfL Bad Nenndorf's Lucrețiu Brătescu did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boubacar Otabo in the 81st minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Josef Witlatschil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Witlatschil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Boubacar Otabo went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. With a little luck, VfL Bad Nenndorf's Lucrețiu Brătescu got control of the ball when Marten Weise tried to sneak it across the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
