Miroslav Slabý showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Jan in the 4th minute of the match. Miroslav Slabý took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Jan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bronislav Šilhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michal Vašák in the 6th minute. Lukáš Šlajs charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lukáš Šlajs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Repubblica di San Marino booed when Zelejov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukáš Šlajs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zelejov's Bronislav Šilhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Zelejov from getting a goal against them. 15 minutes into the match, Zelejov's goal looked a bit too open when Jarmil Víšek came free, but Bronislav Šilhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Jarmil Víšek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bronislav Šilhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miroslav Slabý made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Srp in the 19th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Jan Mucha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zelejov's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Repubblica di San Marino the free kick. The supporters of Repubblica di San Marino booed when Zelejov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Mucha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Petr Kobliha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bronislav Šilhan. The goal made the score 1-1. Bronislav Šilhan made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Bedřich Nováček sent off a good shot on target. Tomáš Rybáček's late challenge caught a Zelejov's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomáš Rybáček helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Repubblica di San Marino got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Rybáček. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Di Nucci in the 37th minute of play forced Repubblica di San Marino's goalkeeper Miroslav Slabý to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Marek Jan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslav Slabý saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Josef Srp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marek Jan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jiří Kotlář ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bronislav Šilhan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 57 played minutes, Zelejov's Libor Dědič shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miroslav Slabý came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zelejov reached it. Emiliano Di Nucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Miroslav Slabý tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bronislav Šilhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bedřich Nováček, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Josef Srp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emiliano Di Nucci struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Miroslav Slabý didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zelejov. If Josef Srp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Josef Srp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarmil Víšek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes Repubblica di San Marino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomáš Trnečka who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Zelejov's Tomáš Trnečka to fire away a dangerous shot which Miroslav Slabý despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 96th minute, Emiliano Di Nucci left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zelejov fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Zelejov's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
