André Šmicer hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Pavel Hůlka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rostislav Ivánek having to interfere. 9 minutes in the game, Juraj Macháň dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Pavel Hůlka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rostislav Ivánek having to interfere. Rostislav Ivánek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juraj Macháň in the 13th minute of play. Slavia Praha's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Karel Mánek 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zbyněk Vesecký got free with Lukáš Nohejl in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zbyněk Vesecký fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukáš Nohejl having to interfere. André Šmicer hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th play minute Zbyněk Vesecký came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lukáš Nohejl. 2-0. In the 36th minute of the match Slavia Praha got a corner. Damice's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Balík ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jan Pulda was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When Pavel Hůlka came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Slavia Praha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavel Hůlka couldn't finish the play. Rostislav Ivánek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Hůlka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karel Mánek to strike the kick off in the second half. Zbyněk Vesecký might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lukáš Nohejl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zbyněk Vesecký ran back to his position shaking his head. After 57 played minutes Damice got a freekick which was hit by Karel Mánek. In the 60th minute, Pavel Hůlka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rostislav Ivánek was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Juraj Macháň capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juraj Macháň really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After having played for 84 minutes, Pavel Hůlka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slavia Praha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Hůlka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rostislav Ivánek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juraj Macháň, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Pavel Hůlka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Slavia Praha's Pavel Hůlka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rostislav Ivánek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Despite being the better team, Slavia Praha failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
