When Klaus Chlad came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Rudanyyho Wikingové fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaus Chlad couldn't finish the play. Valentin Kovačík made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus Chlad in the 17th minute of play. Klaus Chlad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Valentin Kovačík tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Klaus Chlad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Kovačík saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Rudanyyho Wikingové were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klaus Chlad made a kick off. If Josef Podzimek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Kovačík showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Zápotocký, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rudanyyho Wikingové were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after The Subways's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaroslav Chval took the corner. After having played for 61 minutes, Klaus Chlad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rudanyyho Wikingové's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klaus Chlad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rudanyyho Wikingové booed when The Subways was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Zelinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, The Subways's Josef Kopecký got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Jaroslav Chval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of The Subways booed when Rudanyyho Wikingové was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Maleňák didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klaus Chlad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudanyyho Wikingové's Zdeněk Vejnar got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in The Subways's zone, Klaus Chlad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Kovačík came out of the goal and Klaus Chlad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaus Chlad got free with Valentin Kovačík in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, Klaus Chlad notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of The Subways's Valentin Kovačík. Valentin Kovačík was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Rudanyyho Wikingové left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Subways.
