Spectators: 7608 (Terracing: 5707, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 151) Filip Suda made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Filip Suda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newton Heath LYR 1878's Ladislav Koníček was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robin Piňos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attila Malinovský in the 6th minute of the match. Drahomír Osvald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Newton Heath LYR 1878's Attila Krob got a free kick in the 11th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Suda in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ladislav Koníček saved Newton Heath LYR 1878 from getting behind. In the 14th minute Filip Suda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Koníček saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislav Koníček made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otakar Nedvěd in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Newton Heath LYR 1878 getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Erik Brož hit a great ball. If Otakar Nedvěd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Drahomír Osvald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Antonín Prokš fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Veprova's protests and gave Antonín Prokš a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Veprova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonín Prokš to maneuver through the defense. Robin Piňos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attila Malinovský, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Otakar Nedvěd came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Veprova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otakar Nedvěd couldn't finish the play.

After having played for 56 minutes, Attila Malinovský managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newton Heath LYR 1878's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attila Malinovský was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Veprova! Otakar Nedvěd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ladislav Koníček tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darek Suchý charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Filip Suda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ladislav Koníček having to make a save. With a little luck, Newton Heath LYR 1878's Ladislav Koníček got control of the ball when Otakar Nedvěd tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Suda in the 100th minute of play forced Newton Heath LYR 1878's goalkeeper Ladislav Koníček to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Newton Heath LYR 1878's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
