An unexpectedly hard shot by Milan Dopita in the 39th minute of play forced Harlem Globetrotters's goalkeeper Dominik Daníček to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harlem Globetrotters's Dominik Daníček played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milan Dopita in the 41st minute of play. If Jiří Hlavsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Leopold Roubal ran back to his position shaking his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AC Sparta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
