The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Havíř got free with Arpád Kubát in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arpád Kubát made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jiří Huňka in the 15th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Igby´s United got a freekick which was hit by Bořivoj Císař. After a rather tough play, Igby´s United's Kristián Záruba got a free kick in the 19th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Straky's Josef Koblížek tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Igby´s United's Arpád Kubát got control of the ball when Jan Havíř tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute Jiří Huňka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arpád Kubát saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jiří Huňka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karel Štěpnička charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karel Štěpnička the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Igby´s United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Štěpnička to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 32 in the game by Jan Havíř from a close distance when the talented Arpád Kubát managed to make a qualified save. Igby´s United's players were relieved. Miroslav Nápravník sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jiří Huňka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jiří Huňka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan Havíř scored 1-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arpád Kubát, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jiří Huňka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Arpád Kubát tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jiří Huňka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Jan Havíř shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arpád Kubát saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arpád Kubát took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Havíř, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arpád Kubát came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Straky's Jiří Huňka. But to his dismay, Jiří Huňka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Jiří Huňka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. In the 95th minute, Viliam Plicka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miroslav Nápravník fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslav Dvořáček having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Straky fully deserved thier win.
