With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nikolaj Bican in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milan Petrovský saved Fotbalový Club Kobeřice from getting behind. Otmar Mohyla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Arnošt Polách tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svatopluk Horáček in the 20th minute of play forced Fotbalový Club Kobeřice's goalkeeper Milan Petrovský to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Nikolaj Bican managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikolaj Bican was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milan Petrovský breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomáš Vrána scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Milan Petrovský, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Čestmír Voltr to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Otmar Mohyla to make the kick off.
