The audience thought a goal was coming when Tom Švajda got free with Jarmil Balek in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 41 minutes, Boris Stolín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rudanyyho Wikingové's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boris Stolín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Daniel Grossmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rudanyyho Wikingové's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Grossmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radmil Hubáček breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Grossmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Grossmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Rudanyyho Wikingové supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rudanyyho Wikingové would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
