Pavel Plhal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimír Bezděk in the 25th minute of play. Pavel Málek's late challenge caught a AC Sparta Praha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pavel Málek helped the player get up and apologised. Pavel Plhal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimír Bezděk, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Carvahall defense, Slavoj Kurc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pavel Plhal. The Carvahall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pavel Plhal should have stopped the shot. The supporters of AC Sparta Praha booed when Carvahall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Werner Šimon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carvahall's Pavel Plhal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Carvahall from getting a goal against them. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norbert Páv made a kick off. Ernest Zelenka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Páv in the 55th minute of the match. Milan Pavelec charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Milan Pavelec the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes AC Sparta Praha got a freekick which was hit by Milan Pavelec. If Werner Šimon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 65 minutes into the game, Josef Vodrážka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carvahall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Sparta Praha the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Slavoj Kurc in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavel Plhal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Slavoj Kurc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Werner Šimon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Ernest Zelenka made a huge save. Slavoj Kurc struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Pavel Plhal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Sparta Praha. Vladimír Bezděk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Pavel Plhal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest Zelenka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Werner Šimon in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded Carvahall left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AC Sparta Praha.
