Zdeněk Lakatos struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Ernest Zelenka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Slavia Děčín. Zdeněk Lakatos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimír Ivánek's late challenge caught a AC Sparta Praha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimír Ivánek helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AC Sparta Praha booed when SK Slavia Děčín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimír Ivánek didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vladimír Bezděk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Vladimír Bezděk made a precise shot to the right of Svatopluk Řehák. SK Slavia Děčín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. SK Slavia Děčín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The SK Slavia Děčín players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Slavoj Kurc's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Svatopluk Řehák skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Vladimír Bezděk got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 69th match minute, SK Slavia Děčín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Rudolf to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Ota Husák sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Svatopluk Řehák skillfully saved the ball. In the 82ndth minute of the game Zdeněk Lakatos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Sparta Praha's Ernest Zelenka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zdeněk Lakatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Slavoj Kurc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
