When Kazimír Grézl came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the AC Licomelice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kazimír Grézl couldn't finish the play. Alojz Kyselý sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sany's Alojz Kyselý got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Karel Květoň fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Licomelice's protests and gave Karel Květoň a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sany booed when AC Licomelice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karel Květoň didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alojz Kyselý struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Jan Berný didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sany. A collision led to Sany getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Radek Řádek hit a great ball. Ivan Hanáček made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazimír Grézl in the 26th minute of play. Jan Berný showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragan Štěpnička, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Jan Berný took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alojz Kyselý, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Dragan Štěpnička shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Berný saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alojz Kyselý received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jan Berný tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dragan Štěpnička to strike the kick off in the second half. Luboš Fabík sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 54 played minutes AC Licomelice got a freekick which was hit by Kazimír Grézl. If Alojz Kyselý had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, AC Licomelice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Květoň to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, AC Licomelice's Jan Berný got control of the ball when Dragan Štěpnička tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alojz Kyselý got free with Jan Berný in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dragan Štěpnička had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Dytrych received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ivan Hanáček tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kazimír Grézl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Hanáček having to interfere. Alojz Kyselý recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AC Licomelice's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Karel Suchan in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Luboš Fabík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AC Licomelice's Jan Berný played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragan Štěpnička in the 83rd minute of play. After 86 played minutes, AC Licomelice's Karel Suchan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivan Hanáček came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AC Licomelice reached it. Kazimír Grézl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Hanáček read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Alojz Kyselý took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Jan Berný to make any attempt to save it. The AC Licomelice supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sany's performance. The match ended with a win for Sany.
