To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jozef Nožička during the 24th minute. After 53 minutes, Marián Nikl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fučíková and the FC Kretin players grew even worse after the yellow card. Česlav Vokoun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Zdeněk Vondráček when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, FC Kretin's Jaroslav Ondruch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zdeněk Vondráček narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslav Ondruch in the 72nd minute of play forced Fučíková's goalkeeper Zdeněk Vondráček to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Max Otruba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fučíková's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Otruba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Jaroslav Ondruch took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Zdeněk Vondráček to make any attempt to save it. In the 83rd play minute Česlav Vokoun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zdeněk Vondráček. 0-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Kretin walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
