Pavel Mikulka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lickov's goalkeeper Otokar Sršeň, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Levski Sofia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Bouša to maneuver through the defense. Levski Sofia's Zlatko Bahník played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Frank in the 22nd minute of play. Otokar Sršeň came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Levski Sofia's Slavoj Micka. But to his dismay, Slavoj Micka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Levski Sofia's Zlatko Bahník played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Mikulka in the 32nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Levski Sofia's Slavoj Micka got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eliáš Plecitý had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lickov's Vitalij Houda shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zlatko Bahník but with some difficulty. Josef Frank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zlatko Bahník having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Lickov's goal looked a bit too open when Slavoj Micka came free, but Otokar Sršeň reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Levski Sofia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lickov the free kick. A collision led to Levski Sofia getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Aleš Indra hit a great ball. Miroslav Živný received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Otokar Sršeň tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otokar Sršeň showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliáš Plecitý, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Slavoj Micka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otokar Sršeň having to interfere. Pavel Mikulka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zlatko Bahník having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Levski Sofia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
